Education the path out of poverty

Educational opportunity is ultimately one of the biggest factors to preventing poverty and long term financial disadvantage.  If students do not have the resources they need to fully participate, they cannot keep up with their class mates, they feel left out, are often ostracised and in some cases experience bullying.

Education assistance program

Each year CNCISS continues to see hundreds of families in the City of Casey requiring assistance so that their children will have the basic needs and resources to participate in their education program.  Our education assistance program provides help with books, uniforms, fees, camps and excursions, helping to ensure that no child is left behind.

How to help

Food for Thought is a fun way to raise funds to help local struggling families with their education costs. Host a fun school-themed event and ask your friends, family, school or work place to come along and donate to the event. You can make a difference and ensure the children in your community have the books, uniforms and access to the resources they need to get the most from their education.

Food for Thought

Its easy!  Host a lunch, dinner or morning or afternoon tea event.  Make it fun, theme it up!

Invite your friends to come along, join in the fun and donate to Food For Thought
